Vaser Liposuction

The FDA-approved “Vaser Liposucton” device is based on the principle of meticulous cleaning of fatty tissue by melting it without damaging healthy tissues. Thanks to this operation, capillary vessels and nerve cells are not damaged, which is an important advantage compared to classical methods. In this way, the risks of bleeding, bruising and edema are minimal and the healing process is faster. It can be applied to the abdomen, waist, back, hips, inner leg, knee, wrist, arms and jowl area.

The operation is performed under general anesthesia and its average duration is 1.5-2 hours. However, its duration may vary depending on the number and size of the areas to be applied. 1 night hospital stay is required.

Your final control is done on the 5th day of the operation. Since the operation is performed with 2-3 millimeter incisions, the healing process passes quickly and these scars disappear over time. The special corset, which is dressed after the operation, is used for 3 weeks. Edema and bruises that occur in the early period pass over time. You may not notice any change in your weight due to edema in the first 20 days, but you can see that your body starts to take shape within 2 months. You can return to social life 1 week after the operation. After 4 weeks, you can do light sports such as jogging, walking and cardio.

What should be considered before the operation?
You should share all your expectations and concerns with your doctor. You should answer in detail the information you will be asked about your general health status, and inform your doctor about the diseases you have had and the medications you use. Factors affecting anesthesia such as blood thinners, vitamins, alcohol and smoking should be discontinued as of the date prescribed by your doctor.

Nothing should be drunk or eaten, including water, at least 6 hours before the operation time.

What should be known about anesthesia?
General anesthesia is a sleep period in which there is no awareness so that the patient does not feel pain and does not move during the operation. It can be applied to all patients regardless of age and gender.

Since it is personal, your anesthesiologist will evaluate your condition before the surgery according to the drugs you use, your diseases and your laboratory results. If you have received anesthesia in your previous surgeries, your past information will be questioned. Your circulatory and respiratory systems are checked. A fasting period of at least 6 hours is required before the operation. For the safety of these patients, it is important to avoid vomiting and aspiration.

You will be put to sleep by administering medication through the vascular access in general anesthesia. Since the drugs used are short-acting, their effects do not remain after the surgery. In general anesthesia, laryngeal mask can be used or intratracheal intubation can be applied. As a result, a sore throat may be felt after the surgery, although it is rare.

After the surgery, you are free to eat and drink after your consciousness and reflexes are restored.

Nausea and vomiting are common side effects of general anesthesia. On the other hand, anti-nausea drugs are given in the service.
