Neck Lift
Neck aesthetics can be performed alone or in conjunction with a 'face lift' operation. If the sagging in the neck area is not excessive, definite results can be obtained only with the "Liposuction" procedure.
If there is relaxation in the neck muscles and an increase in adipose tissue, the fat tissue is removed with an incision made under the chin and a new shape can be given by stretching the neck muscles towards the midline. When applied together with a facelift operation, it can be performed with a single incision.
The operation takes 1.5-2 hours on average under general anesthesia. One night hospital stay is required.
Your first control is done on the 3rd day after the operation and your last control is done on the 5th day. Temporary bruising, edema and tenderness may occur in the early period. These effects decrease within the first week and disappear completely within 2 weeks. It is useful to avoid strenuous activities for the first week. You can return to working life after 1 week.
What should be considered before the operation?
You should share all your expectations and concerns with your doctor. You should answer in detail the information you will be asked about your general health status, and inform your doctor about the diseases you have had and the medications you use. Factors affecting anesthesia such as blood thinners, vitamins, alcohol and smoking should be discontinued as of the date prescribed by your doctor.
Nothing should be drunk or eaten, including water, until at least 6 hours before the operation time.
Should I have a neck lift?
If you are not satisfied with sagging in the neck area, your chin and looking older than you are, YES, you are a suitable patient for “Neck Lift”.
