Leg Lift

Depending on age, genetic factors, and weight gain and loss, sagging, crooked legs, and differences in shape and thickness between the two legs may occur. If there is an increase in fat in the leg area and a drooping appearance secondarily, it is possible to solve it with the "Vaser Liposuction" technique. In cases of asymmetry and curvature, "Fat Injection or Prosthesis" can be applied. Leg prosthesis is an operation that is applied to people whose legs are thin and whose legs look misshapen and crooked due to weakness and lack of muscle tissue. After the leg prosthesis operation, the patient should wear high-heeled shoes for 3-5 days.

In cases of advanced sagging, surgical intervention may be required together with Liposuction. Stretching is performed by removing excess skin and fat from the incision made on the basis of the inguinal region. This operation takes 2-3 hours on average under general anesthesia. 1 night hospital stay is required. On the 6th day of the operation, your dressing and control is done. In the early period, spontaneous numbness, edema and bruises may occur. It is recommended to rest for 2-3 days by raising the feet with a pillow. After the operation, it is necessary to use a corset continuously for 4 weeks. You can return to business life within 10 days.

What should be considered before the operation?

You should share all your expectations and concerns with your doctor. You should answer in detail the information you will be asked about your general health status, and inform your doctor about the diseases you have had and the medications you use. Factors affecting anesthesia such as blood thinners, vitamins, alcohol and smoking should be discontinued as of the date prescribed by your doctor.

Nothing should be drunk or eaten, including water, at least 6 hours before the operation time.

What should be known about anesthesia?

General anesthesia is a sleep period in which there is no awareness so that the patient does not feel pain and does not move during the operation. It can be applied to all patients regardless of age and gender.

Since it is personal, your anesthesiologist will evaluate your condition before the surgery according to the drugs you use, your diseases and your laboratory results. If you have received anesthesia in your previous surgeries, your past information will be questioned. Your circulatory and respiratory systems are checked. A fasting period of at least 6 hours is required before the operation. For the safety of these patients, it is important to avoid vomiting and aspiration.

You will be put to sleep by administering medication through the vascular access in general anesthesia. Since the drugs used are short-acting, their effects do not remain after the surgery. In general anesthesia, laryngeal mask can be used or intratracheal intubation can be applied. As a result, a sore throat may be felt after the surgery, although it is rare.

After the surgery, you are free to eat and drink after your consciousness and reflexes are restored.

Nausea and vomiting are common side effects of general anesthesia. On the other hand, anti-nausea drugs are given in the service.
